- ✧ Xilef Xam
Xilef Xam, a short-tailed Uekelian, comes from a proud family of law enforcement officers, and he was on track to rising up the ranks of command when his gambling habit got the best of him in the worst way possible. In a series of unfortunate events not all entirely his fault (but a fair amount owing to him) that involved Uekelians more powerful and richer than he, a crime boss from a lower class gambling house, some murder, prostitutes, drugs, and stolen crystal butt plugs, Xilef found himself cast out of the police force, and disgraced from his family and middle class society. Desperate for money to pay off his debts, he found work in the mining operations of the lower classes, and when he’s not working in the asteroid mines, he uses his quick reflex skills to pick the pockets of the unsuspecting.
Xilef is a young adult Uekelian, and he has not yet lived long enough to have grown a distinguished tail, and given his current life plan, it’s doubtful he will get there. His matted coat is orange with a white belly, and miraculously, both his tusks have remained intact. However, given his current living conditions, he could use a good soaking bath and shampoo.
Feeling a bit betrayed by his family and employer’s rejections, Xilef has retained no love for any part of his society. He looks out for one person first: himself. And he wouldn’t mind telling a few unsavory secrets here or there, or helping someone stick it to the Chotubgane, the Middle Class, or this whole colony in general if it helps him gain a bit of revenge against those who’ve wronged him.- ✧ Cor Lin
Cor Lin is a Pukewish merchant that runs a successful business selling jewelry and decorative items primarily made from the crystals mined Vades Leth Vigans, as well as acting as one of the go-betweens between the Chotubgane and the rest of the citizenry. He’s considered something of a dandy by his own people, always trying to look fashionable whatever the situation, and usually seen carrying a purely aesthetic walking cane that he claims is a family heirloom. Very few know that the reason it’s a family heirloom is that Cor comes from a long line of practitioners of a style of fencing native to his homeworld, and the cane actually conceals a K’Besh rapier that he knows quite well how to use, if the situation calls for it.
Though his associations with the Chotubgane have made him a reasonably wealthy being, he’s personally not especially fond of them or of the status quo they maintain. He feels that there’s very little he can actually do about it though, and thus hides his dissatisfaction behind the charming smile and sharp wit he generally shows to his customers and superiors alike.
